In November 2025, partners from across Europe gathered in Leitrim, Ireland, for the official kick-off meeting of the SUSTAiN project, hosted by Momentum. The setting was memorable—not only for the warm Irish welcome but also for the unusual weather. Snow fell across Leitrim, a rare sight for November, adding a special atmosphere to our first gathering.
Aligning on WP2: Building a Clear Roadmap
The main focus of the meeting was on Work Package 2 (WP2) Compendium of Case Studies and Starterpack. Discussions centred on:
- Aligning our shared understanding of what is expected.
- Dividing tasks among partners according to their expertise.
- Setting clear goals and deadlines.
By the end of the day, all partners had a strong, shared vision of the work ahead, ensuring clarity and confidence as we move forward.
Strengthening Collaboration
The meeting was not only about planning—it was also about building relationships. After a productive day, partners travelled to Carrick-on-Shannon for a dinner together. This provided a relaxed setting to get to know one another, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that will support our work throughout the project.
Looking Ahead
The Leitrim kick-off set the tone for the SUSTAiN project: collaborative, ambitious, and forward-looking. With WP2 now clearly defined and next steps agreed, partners left Leitrim ready to take on the exciting challenges ahead.
